Overview
Feedback for Confluence is a powerful app that allows you to collect valuable feedback directly on your Confluence pages. Tips for Leaving Feedback
Be specific: If leaving a comment, explain what you liked or what could be improved
Consider the page version: Your feedback is tied to the current page version, so future improvements will be tracked separately
Anonymous feedback: You can leave feedback even without logging in (as an anonymous user)

Understanding Page Versions
What are Page Versions?
Every time you edit and publish a Confluence page, it gets a new version number. The feedback app tracks which version received each piece of feedback.
Why This Matters
Track improvements: See if ratings improve after you update content
Identify issues: Low ratings on a specific version might indicate a problem with that update
Measure impact: Understand how your content changes affect user satisfaction
Viewing Version-Specific Feedback
In the detailed feedback view, you can see:
Which version each feedback was given for
Average ratings per version in the chart
Filter by latest version to focus on current content
Anonymous and Guest User Feedback
Anonymous Users
Can leave feedback without logging in
Feedback appears as "Anonymous User" in statistics
Each anonymous user gets a unique ID (stored in browser)
Perfect for public-facing documentation
Guest Users
Guest users (unlicensed) can also leave feedback
Their feedback is tracked separately
Helps you understand feedback from external collaborators
Best Practices
For Content Creators
Check feedback regularly: Review ratings and comments to identify areas for improvement
Respond to patterns: If multiple users mention the same issue, prioritize fixing it
Track version changes: Compare ratings before and after updates
Use low ratings as opportunities: Negative feedback helps you improve
For Space Administrators
Monitor trends: Use the charts to identify pages that consistently receive low ratings
Export data regularly: Keep CSV exports for historical tracking
Share insights: Use statistics to inform content strategy
Encourage feedback: Let users know their feedback is valuable
For Feedback Providers
Be constructive: Explain what could be improved
Rate honestly: Your honest feedback helps improve content
Consider context: Think about the page's purpose when rating
Update feedback: You can submit new feedback after content improvements
